The SC500
STREET CATCHER is the lowest blower
scoop in the world that bolts directly
to 6/8/10-71 blowers with working butterflies,
authentic style barrel valve and with
a carburetor and air filter inside. Designed
to enclose a 4150 series Squarebore
single Holley or Demon Double Pumper
the SC500 STREET CATCHER comes
complete with - Scoop body assembly in
Round or Barndoor style butterflies, 6-71
adapter plate that will bolt to any blower
with a 6-71 style entry bolt pattern.
It comes with an air filter and filter
adapter,
carb butterfly linkage, dummy barrel
valve and linkage that operates the butterflies
from the standard double pumper universal
side linkage on most Holley or Demon
carburetors, and stainless steel mounting
hardware . The Scoop comes with a Hi-Perf
paper filter element but will accept
a K&N air filter element and XRP/Earls
type performance plumbing type fittings
or standard chrome aftermarket dual feeder
fuel line. The SC500 can also be ordered
with an optional dummy hardline/spacer
setup for that final touch.

PERFORMANCE WITH THE SC500 |
SMALL
BLOCKS: Generally
speaking the SC500 STREETCATCHER can
be used on street and street/strip
type 6-71 engines running blower
speeds up to say 6% or 3% under
pushing a maximum of say 10lbs
to12lbs or so of boost or
even more and have proven to
easily push a medium size car
like a Camaro into the low 11's. Street
machines are no problem and an
850 DP is the general rule of
thumb for stout street performance,
cruising, show or fun in these
applications. BIG
BLOCKS: Street
and Street/Strip Big Blocks up
to 454 cubic inch generally
would be OK pushing 5 to 8lbs
boost with a single 850/1000
cfm Holley double pumper and
6/8-71 blower speeds up to 1
to 1 to 6% over or thereabouts.
For Higher flow, Holley and Demon
are making 1000cfm single 4bbl
4150 carbs, boost referenced
if needed and capable of great
performance in the STREETCATCHER.
