Although the paper air filter element supplied with the SC500 Streetcatcher works amazingly well, for high air flow when using the SC500 we recommend using a K&N Part Number E-3527 air filter element. This air filter element is only 1/2" wall and would flow a lot better than the supplied standard air filter element when used on strong street strip type engines.

The only thing you need to do is because the K&N element is a little floppy you should screw it to the Streetcatcher filter element adapter (re the pictures) so that it will maintain its shape and position when lowering the scoop body over the Carb/Filter
