Remember
when mounting the IN600 Street Induction, it is desirable
to mount the base of the induction body close to the manifold
runners. This will make for a neat and authentic looking
installation.
You
can run the unit on a Single or Dual plane manifold, possibly
the Single plane manifold may be a little nicer because
the port runners are generally always the same height,
so the base of the induction will sit right down close
to all eight runners. The overall appearance, however,
is not really affected a lot between the dual and single
plane manifolds by the time the whole thing is set up.
The
'best' ingredient for a "good looking fit" is
to polish the manifold. By the time you fit hoses, throttle
linkages, plug leads, thermostat housing etc it can look
pretty realistic.
AS
SHIPPED - CARBURETOR PAD HEIGHT UP TO AROUND 5"
The
IN600 Street Induction as shipped comes with a 2 1/2" high
hi-performance paper air filter element and could be fitted
to any manifold with a carb pad height up to around 5",
as measured from the manifold to block sealing surfaces
at the underside front and back of the intake manifold,
to a point taken between the front and rear barrels on
the carburetor mounting pad.
CARBURETOR
PAD HEIGHT UP TO AROUND 5 1/2"
The
IN600 Street Induction can be fitted to manifolds with
a carb pad height up to 5 1/2" but generally speaking
this can only be achieved by running a 2" high air
filter element.
As
an example, manifolds with a carburetor pad mounting height
measurement of 4 1/2" or less can actually run up
to a 3" high K&N air filter elements if desired.
The
mounting height 'position' of the IN600 Street Induction
body base in relation to the Intake manifold can be achieved
by using different air filter element heights, or by using
different 'carb spacers' under the carburetor, or by a
combination of both of these. Unit comes with full mounting
instructions and filter
