GM and Ford HEI CONSIDERATIONS

Within engine familys the distributor clearance could change marginally (providing more distributor clearance) depending on where the carburetor mounting pad is set (fore and aft) in relation to other intake manifolds for that same engine engine.

SMALL BLOCK CHEVY ENGINES
The STREETINDUCTION wont clear an HEI GM electronic ignition unless you cut into the back of the STREETINDUCTION base for clearance, you would need to put a smaller diameter distributor in like a Mallory or Accel, or a Standard early Chevy points type distributor will fit and you can also get that design as a simple drop in quality replacement electronic ' Pro Billet' distributor from MSD Part No 8360.

If absolutely necessary you can cut the back of the IN600STREETINDUCTION body for HEI clearance if you want to or 'have money' in your distributor, this has been done succesfully but it takes fabricating skills and its just a lot easier to fit a smaller distributor in.

BIG BLOCK CHEVY ENGINES
Generally Speaking the IN600 STREETINDUCTION will fit Big Block Chevy's with an HEI

FORD ENGINES
Images below, among others, show a Small block Ford (around a Mallory size distributor) and a Cleveland pictured is a MSD Pro Billet Distributor, Generally with a Big Block Ford

SB CHEVY with standard early GM Distributor, this is
as big as you can go, an HEI won't fit without cutting the IN600 body
